James is a New Orleans native who studied at The Kubert School in
New Jersey and The Art Institute in San Francisco before returning
home in 2012. Drawing inspiration largely from nostalgia and pop
culture, James enjoys uniting his formal training with his love of technical artistry.

While he is known for his striking watercolor portraiture, James
frequently experiments with mixed media and sculpture, relying largely on material found around the house.

Present and past exhibitions include the O What A Night Gala and Silent Auction, benefitting the Ogden Museum and group shows at Nola "Nacular and the New Orleans Art Association.
